Day 4 - Orb or Hole, Only the Shading Will Tell - the One Zentangle a Day book by Beckah Krahula.

For Day 4, the tangles were Shattuck, Nipa and Jonqual, and the idea was to play with the shading of orbs.

Here’s what we created:

I really love the drama of Jonqual. I decided to add a bit of texture to the sides to create a cube effect. It was funny how we both ended up using colour on this One. I used artist markers to add colour to the edge and Shattuck lines, and Ian used different coloured pencils to create gold bands for his Shattuck.

That doesn’t mean you can’t join in, though. Just play with the idea shared, e.g., in this case, use the three patterns —Shattuck, Nipa, and Jonqual —and add some shading to the orbs.
