Week 4 - Tangletastic Challenge

ree

Hello, Inkies! (This is my new cute name for you all!) 🎉

It's Week 4 of the Tangletastic Challenge! ✨

Last week’s entries were great again! You can see them all in my Tangletastic group, where we have a gallery for each theme - perfect for a little spark of inspiration whenever you need it. Here's a sneeky peak too:

This week, we're doing a Tangled Thoughts challenge. So, what on earth is it?!

Tangled Thoughts is all about pairing your pen with a focus word or mindset prompt. It’s not about perfection, it’s about reflection, creativity, and enjoying the process.

You’ll still be sharing in the Tangle Gallery, but today the magic is in how the theme inspires your tiles.

✨ How to approach it:

  1. Using the word 'Balance' - reflect on how balance shows up in your life or mindset, and explore symmetry and harmony in your tile. Maybe do a bit of journaling around the word.

  2. You can use any tiles you like.

  3. Follow the rules below.

You can create whatever patterns you like, but the overall tile must be symmetrical and balanced.

My Thoughts on Balance & My Tile

A bit wonky in the middle, but hey, 'No Mistakes', right?! 😂

Here's how balance is showing up for me right now. I've been working way too hard. No surprise, really, when I've just launched my book. Did I tell you I've written a book?! You can find it here.

Anyways, my fabulous friend and coach asked me a great question. "Do you want to continue working too hard, or would you like to choose differently?"

My problem is I'm SO passionate about what I do that I get excited about sharing my message. That has an impact on my life where other lovely fun things slip, like baking, making wholesome meals for lunch, drawing just for me, making my home pretty and cosy, or spending more time in nature, etc.

As I drew this tile, I thought about Balance and how I can choose differently. I can love what I do AND create some space for other things I love. I'm playing around with what I call 'Mixty' days, where I do a bit of work, then do something else that's fun, and then do a bit of work again. I'm loving it so far. My work is still getting done, and I'm getting back into things I've been letting slip.

Over to you, and ....

Back to the Challenge

It's meant to be a fun 'challenge', so don't overthink it. It's all about playing. Once you've created your tile, share it in the Tangletastic and then add it to the Tangle Gallery in the group.

I can’t wait to see your tiles sparkle in the Tangle Gallery! 🌀👑

✨ Remember to stick to 'The Rules' ✨

  1. Tangle to the weekly prompt.

  2. Share your creation in my Tangletastic Facebook Group, and in the Tangle Gallery under the relevant prompt.

  3. Share it on Instagram using #TangletasticChallenge and #Ruby2Shoes, and remember to tag me @ruby2shoesdesign. 📸💖 Sharing on Facebook works too! 🌀👑 Link to my Tangletastic group - http://bit.ly/Tangletastic

  4. 💬 Share the Love: Comment on at least three other posts each week. This isn’t a competition. Every tangle is magical! See someone’s post without a comment? Please leave a little sparkle for them.

🌟 NB. While I’ll be cheering you all on, I won’t be commenting on every single post personally: The magic of this challenge is in us supporting one another as a community. 💖 I've been trying to keep up, but I know I've still missed a few people, so the more it grows, the harder it will be.

💌 Don't know what this is all about?! Full details here.

Come and join my Tangletastic group so you can join in.

Let’s do this together! 🎉👠✨
