The Tangletastic Challenge Wk 30 | Zentangle - Black & White Bliss

Hello, Tanglers! 🎉

It's Week 30 of the Tangletastic Challenge✨

This week, we're back to the classic black and white Zentangles. No colour. No fuss. Just a simple black pen on white, with some graphite shading. There is a twist, though. We are going with negative space.

This is where, instead of tangling in the white of the tile, you create the tangle and then tangle outside of it. Words make this harder than it sounds. Pictures speak louder than words!

Here's what Chris (Govan) and Pauline (Herbert) created:

Pauline said, "I thought I would accentuate the contrast between the white negative space and the darkness". She used the pattern, N'Zeppel by Zentangle

Chris used the flower as her negative space and tangled behind it in segments. Patterns used were Keeko, Printemps, Tipple, N'Zeppel, and Onamato. All by Zentangle.

Create a black and white Zentangle tile. Any tangles. Just play. Then come and share what you've created in our Tangletastic group.

Remember, the Tangletastic Challenge isn't a 'challenge' per se. It's meant to be a fun tangling 'challenge' to help you tangle more, so don't overthink it. It's all about playing. Your tiles can be as simple as a 2" x 2" square.
