Hello, Tanglers! 🎉
It's Week 29 of the Tangletastic Challenge✨
This week, We're playing with Tangled Thoughts. This week, the word to ponder while tangling is Trust. What does trust mean to you?
In the Zentangle world, trust is very important as we trust ourselves to draw the lines that come from our hands to our pens, as we trust the next step of the pattern will present itself when it's meant to, as we trust there are no mistakes.
Most of all, as we trust the process of tangling, enjoying the journey and letting go of any expectation of outcomes.
All fabulous life lessons!
So, all you have to do for this week's 'challenge' is think of the word 'Trust'. Here are a few prompts: 🌀Follow your first instinct
Start with one tangle and resist the urge to plan ahead. Each time you pause, choose the next pattern based on your first instinct and notice how your tile unfolds.
🌀Let go of control
Create your string (pencil guideline marks) without overthinking it, even with your eyes closed if you like. That's how I started tangling - I got a pencil, closed my eyes and drew wiggly lines all over my tile and then filled them in with different tangles.
Trust whatever shapes appear and work with them rather than trying to “fix” them.
🌀Work with what shows up
If a line feels off or unexpected, build around it instead of correcting it. Add to it, aura it, or repeat it. Trust that it can become part of something beautiful.
Here's what Pauline (Herbert), and Chris (Govan) created:

Over to you!
Create a tile with the word, Trust, in mind as you create it. Then come and share what you've created in our Tangletastic group.
Remember, the Tangletastic Challenge isn't a 'challenge' per se. It's meant to be a fun tangling 'challenge' to help you tangle more, so don't overthink it. It's all about playing. Your tiles can be as simple as a 2" x 2" square.
Once you've created your tile, please share it in the Tangletastic group and then add it to the relevant album in the group (our Tangle Gallery)
I can’t wait to see your tiles sparkle in the Tangle Gallery! 🌀👑
✨ Remember to stick to 'The Rules' ✨
Tangle to the weekly prompt.
Share your creation in my Tangletastic Facebook Group, and in the Tangle Gallery under the relevant prompt.
Share it on Instagram using #TangletasticChallenge and #Ruby2Shoes, and remember to tag me @ruby2shoesdesign. 📸💖 Sharing on Facebook works too! 🌀👑 Link to my Tangletastic group - http://bit.ly/Tangletastic
💬 Share the Love: Comment on at least three other posts each week. This isn’t a competition. Every tangle is magical! See someone’s post without a comment? Please leave a little sparkle for them.
🌟 NB. ✨ While I’ll be cheering you all on, I won’t be commenting on every single post personally: The magic of this challenge is in us supporting one another as a community. 💖 I've been trying to keep up, but I know I've still missed a few people, so the more it grows, the harder it will be.
💌 Don't know what this is all about?! Full details here.
Come and join my Tangletastic group so you can join in.
Let’s do this together! 🎉👠✨
